Alright, hopefully you guys aren't to hard on Newbies. I am not that new to the world of Home Audio but I am when it comes to building your own speakers, which is what I am looking to do.

I have a pretty big Car Audio back ground but not so much in Home Audio and I knwo there is difference.

What I am lookin to do is throw together a set of speakers, nothign special at all, the brands and types of speaekers are not that important they are gonna be cheapos from a surplus store. The main goal of this project is just to gain experiance in the box construction and maybe a bit of theory.

Umm I am really lost as to were to start, there is so much info on the web it mind boggling where to start. I am just lookin to make a pair of speakers, ( Tweet , Mid , Woofer) nothing special I guess,

Anyone that feels they are brave enough to help out , feel free!! I swear I am a quick learner!

For a first time build a three way design is going to be very special, in the area of difficulty. Building the box is less complex than coming up with a good crossover. There is a lot of good references on line and published available. A good book to start with is The Great Sound Stereo Speaker Manual by David Weems. Some good links are:

http://www.decware.com/new site/mainmenu.htm

It may not be obvious on some of these sites but there is an Articles section that will have good info for a first time builder.
