Question 4"woofer

Are there any good 4" woofers out there?

Tang Bands...they're not expensive, so can't say whether or not they're "good". But they get really great reviews!

Default Adire

Adire is developing an OEM monster 4" with extra long Xmax. I think the customer is Acoustic Visions (don't quote me). This was shown at the CES show earlier this year.

Well, the Vifa TC14 drivers are 5½ inch. TC11 are 4½" and they are generally well reviewed, although not many here seems to use them.

If you mean high end drivers, then Audiotechnology (website) have a very nice 4". It's expensive.

Audiotechnology. Astronomically priced though. You might consider their c-quenze (or s/thing like that) line that's cheaper

The VIFA TC11WG49 is a nice little woofer. It is Reasonably priced also. The performances are good with smooth freq response to 8000 Hz.

I say it represent what mid-fi is about. Good performance, down to earth technology, good price.
