Looks like a lot of redesign to me. 2.5kHz crossover to the tweeter and a notch? My gut tells me a genuine midrange is the way to go. Whether this one is an improvement on what you have is just hard to say.

Hi I`ve just got my hands on a pair of Grand Piano Domus .

I think they sound a bit boring ,not like the old SF`s at all

What did you gain soundvise by tweeking the crossover ??

I’ve been enjoying this thread for a long time now, and I think I’d like to try this new crossover design with my Grand Piano Domus speakers. The problem is, I’m no electrical engineer, and although I do understand a lot of the high-level concepts in this thread, I’m not comfortable modifying my crossovers.

Would anyone in this thread be interested in building the upgraded crossovers for me, with me supplying all necessary parts, and paying for the labor? Any idea what this would cost?
