Default Tweeter necessary?

Hi all,
I was wondering if a woofer/midbass and a tweeter are necessary for the surround channels in a HT setup or will full range drivers be enough.
Thanks

Surrond sound will be better, if all speakers have similar sound. Your front speakers are not fullrange?...

So build 2ways for your rears as well, maybe just a small woofer in them if you are out to save money, you could get a cheaper tweeter to as its not critical in HomeTheatre IMO.
But make sure they have a similar sound to your fronts and try to get the efficiency the same as well.
