In that regards, if you know where the listening position is, what would happen if you made an unequal horn out of the corner? Instead of 45° angles, its 30° and 60° for instance. Or smaller variation, of 40/50...

Also, my worries with the DMA45 isn't bass exactly, but more what happens to distortion etc in the 100-300(or something) range.

you could do that but you might be better off going with a full range driver array instead of a 2-way and make it free standing so you can play with aiming and toe in. use subs for bass < 100 Hz....
