Default Keno was good to me this weekend!

Happy Valentines weekend!
pick 6, match 6 = $1500 Cdn. WAHOO! Oh ya, minus 50% due to the female factor.
But by my figuring, I might get those A4's the woofers they deserve.

Here's my thought: add an 18" sub to the bottom of the cabinet,
[independant cabinet and amp placed inside the bottom cavity]
and close off that area. Open up the top of the horn for the dual 15's, add doors on hinges for the "wings" and holy crap, I'm set to party!

Now about the woofers:

I realize the time delay horrors, but as you see the system is already having to deal with that so the thought is to get some bass in there and rock and roll! Is it best to do a custom cabinet to fit and get something like a Parts Express 1000 watt amp for each? Or should I build the woofers into the cabinets?

About the cabinets:

Can the new boxes be fit without altering the slotted reflex area?
Should I make new baffles?
Help me, I have money that's making my wallet too thick, it hurt my right cheek on the way to work this morning.

Smilin' bigger 'en ever

Default Congratulations!

You know your speakers are too big when you need a ladder to set them up...

Ya SGB,

But the pain is worth it. Trust me!

I might be rethinking the whole situation. This is what's running in them now. They sound great all things considered.
If I update to a decent woof in the bottom then these aren't gonna cut it. Oh lord, what have I got myself into?

What are the chances of picking 6 and matching 6? That's nutz. The other thing thats nutz is those speakers you're standing next to. Holy crap. I really don't have anything intelligent to say. My advice is to go nutz.

Hi Pete,

According to the the pick slip it's 7,753 to 1

I'm guessing that's about the amount of bucks I've spent on that stupid game to this point. Thank goodness you get a return once in a while.

Voluntary taxation and the ever tempting reward.

I'd like to go nuts but what the hell do I do with these things?
It takes me and a buddy, two trucks and a bunch 'o' beer to get them anywhere. My yard doesn't allow for their use. My neighbours really like us except for when I'm testing my latest project.

I think I was high on the Keno when I wanted a new woofer. Or maybe it was because I live in BC.

Not sure ;-)

Cal
