Help me please 12 inch pushed in centre

i took my 12 inch sub out of the car and noticed i had pushed the center convex part in and i cannot get it out.

does ne one no how to correct this

I really dont want to ave to buy a new one just coz of this please HELP ME

does it really matter that much to you? get sucking... with a vacuum cleaner preferably... but in a car.. why bother?

If the driver isn't rubbing or otherwise showing distress, I wouldn't bother risking trying to get the dustcap convex again. The only thing affected will be in the midrange, and since you're using it as a sub, it doesn't matter.

How about a chewing gum? Seriously, depending on the material of the "dome" you could try some sticky stuff to get the right "pull". Be careful though.

I've used masking tape to pull dome out before. Stick it on, and pull out with a quick tug. In your case, don't bother. Having the dust cap pushed in won't affect anything.

If nothing is colliding with anything an option is to push it in
completely to form a concave dustcap, as its a sub this won't
affect anything.

Wax

I have heard that some people fix this as follows:

1. place a piece of string on the dented cone.
2. drip candle wax onto the string/cone area
3. wait for wax to harden on cone and string.
4. pull
5. remove wax from speaker cone.

- I never tried it, but let me know how it turns out if you do it.

A small bent pin, or a vacumn usually will do the job well for a paper cone.
