I read a lot of positive posts and reviews of the Alpair drivers and was pleased to find the cost very reasonable. I think their top model was about $160. What blew me away was the cost of finished speakers with a single driver. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think they don't have a crossover.

Looks like Chris missed the opportunity to answer your question.
They sound very good. The XO is benign, the bass digs down. After a 1000 Hrs of so the HF issues of the A7p seem to be much more in control. They did get better with A7.3eN installed.
We are working thru some iterations of passive XOs.
