Default ML-TL question: Meaning of dip at "Woofer and Terminus Far Field SPL"

HI

Im playing with MathCad 8 free demo. Enclosure is similar to Ariels but with MT Vifa PL18 configuration. Infinite Baffle SPL is nice with gradual rolloff.

Driver measured Fs: 38Hz, dip is at at 35HZ. Also first peak from Acoustic Impedance graphic is at 35Hz, and I really dont know if this result is fine.

Thanks in advance for comments.

JC

I believe the dip conicides with the impedance rise of the driver. This is normal. What you want to be concerned with are the ripples higher up. Here's a thread with MJKs explanations.
Perfect TL with MJK mathcad graph?

Hi Tinm8ter

Thanks for reply.

In impendance graphic first peak is at 35Hz

Driver Fs is 38Hz so its 3Hz lower. Any problem?

TIA
JC
