I use a zero global negative amp - happens to be PP but could be a typical SET. I'm therefore concerned with speaker damping. A helpful post suggested the following:
"You want to use a woofer with a fairly low Qms (as compared with the Qes); for instance, you'd rather have a Qms value less than 10 times the Qes value. A low Qms means that the suspension is providing a great deal of the restoring (damping) force for the woofer, while a high Qms means that the woofer is relying on the amplifier to provide the damping electrically - which your amps will not do a good job of. If you're investigating kits or DIY, take a look at the Qms and Qes values, rather than just using the Qts." thoughts please? amongst the drivers below which (or which others not mentioned) are excellent for other parameters like low distortion and flat frequency response. I enclose ratios (Qm/Qe) for some possible choices. a) Up to 6.5 ins dia.
