No, in the scheme there are no errors. All is correct. Resistors R1 and R2 should be identical.

If the both channels gives same voltage at the same time (it can happen, not often, but happens), then, I think, at the first transistor base voltage became zero, and the circuit wont work.

In this case protection works, because R1 and R2 are connected not to one point of the scheme.
