First Technics revives the direct-drive turntable, now it's Yamaha's turn to bring back the three-way hard-dome monitor.

NS-5000 - ???????? - ???????

Crossover points 750Hz (6dB slope on woofer, 12dB on midrange), 4.5kHz (6dB slope on midrange, 18dB on tweeter.

Rather than Beryllium or carbon fibre, diaphragms are zylon, a liquid crystal polymer with tensile strength exceeding aramids.

6-ohm nominal impedance (minimum 3.2ohm), efficiency 88dB/m/2.83V.

First Technics revives the direct-drive turntable
Are you sure?:(
It says maybe, a new model... in one or 2 years (2016/2017).:)
Interesting, for both products.:D
Panasonic is reviving Technics' legendary DJ turntables
Ask DJs about their favorite turntables and they'll frequently swear by Technics' SL-1200 -- even though it hasn't been made since 2007, the super-reliable deck... The gear won't show up until some point during Panasonic's next fiscal year (sometime between April 2016 and March 2017), but more development time is likely a good thing. After all, the SL-1200 thrives precisely because its makers were careful to preserve elements that worked well -- a rushed product could easily hurt more than it helps.

Ask them for a diy product (3-way) to build with drivers and crossover type only for world distribution. Look at the name and business KEF made for themselves. Europe (UK), Australia, Asia, Africa, Brasil-South America and all including US, North America with big distributors including Canada. By the way, I have to say that Brasil doesn't have "hi-fi" drivers only PA's drivers, with the likes of JBL's. Have fun & keep the news coming.
