I had a pair of old speakers stored away for some time and unfortunately the drivers have been affected by the bad air conditions. Some areas of the drivers had mold on them. I have carefully cleaned and dried the units. Under light i notice that the glossy coating is gone where the mold was, it probably was gone already or in a bad state because long time ago i rescued these speakers from a damp cellar.
So how do i go about restoring the protective glossy layer? Is there a proper solution for it? I read something on the forums about silicone grease but i rather ask first to make sure!
