How they sound?
Are you happy with mid-bass?
I think they sound exceptional; they seem to do transients very well; I’m blown away by the quality of dipole bass; very natural presentation with no sense of compression.
as for the mid-bass response-wise there's a low Q dip centred around 150 Hz, but it seems to be part of the room(floor bounce?), as it shows up in all the speakers i've had in that position.
pertaining to the fountek driver horn loaded, i consider it to be quite a good combination , however a lot of playing with the crossover points to find the best balance between tonal presentation and flattest response. the goldwood woofers hand off to the fountek quite well.
very impressed, and recommend, the fountek.
if i was to revise this design i think it could be bettered by having that mid horn a larger diameter and/or putting another driver in between the mid horn and goldwood woofer.
