Default Selecting a woofer - AE TD12h

Howdy folks!

I'm in the planning stages for a new 3 way I'm working on. I know this is a little backwards, but I've picked up a couple of Dayton PA165-8s because I I liked the price, and they look like they'll make a decent mid.

Now I'm trying to pick a woofer to go with it. I'm trying to keep the sensitivity right around the same, and right now it's looking like the AE TD12h is winning. The sensitivity is right on track, and they have a low enough FS to be a decent woofer for "no subs required" floorstander.

There's only one problem, they're really expensive for this project.

Is anyone familiar with a woofer that might not be so pricey, but still offers 92-ish db sensitivity, low-ish FS in the 20s and ~300w powerhandling (8 ohm)?

I've been looking around for a couple of days, and this is the only one that jumps out at me....and I'd love to have them..I'm just not sure I'm ready to spend that much.

You might like to look at it this way;

The TD12H may be the best 12" made.
To get close you will need to spend more, not less.
Consider the TD as a lifetime purchase. In the future, when funds allow, you can upgrade other components.
The only problem, they can't make them quick enough. Expect a longish wait.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. I just wanted to check and make sure there wasn't some little-known company that I've neglected to look through their catalog :P

Thanks guys! A few of those I've looked at. That Volt driver looks interesting, kinda jet fighter-ish. Looks like it could be tough to get in the US though. The JBL looks like a good match as well, but I didn't see anywhere that offers to sell them. The Eminence drivers were the first ones I looked through, but it seems like they don't have any that have FS down in the 20s, and the sensitivity might be a little high for the mids.

I'm still at the planning stages for now, so I can't jump on a swap meet offer just yet, but thanks for the suggestions so far!

I really wish I could get that Volt RV3143 in USD without duty though, that one looks pretty sweet. Not as perfect of a match, but the looks are pretty epic

What about the SB - SB34NRX75-6

Does anyone have any experience with that one? The specs are right about what I'm looking for, only the sensitivity is 2 db lower and the power handling is a little less than I'd like, I could still live with it if it's a decent driver.
