Default Comb problem?

Good question. Can somebody address this?

I tried it with the TB W3-871S and found that there is some hollowness in the low-midrange and HF loss when you stand up. I used BSC for the lower two drivers. I'm not sure how the Nonsuch gets away with it because I know that there's no electronics involved. I suppose those small Bandor drivers might have dispersion characteristics that somehow work in this configuration but Steve Margolis would be the one the answer that. Others that have tried this have ended up using a tweeter to compensate. Even so, when I use mine in home theater they are quite good and one person that heard them preferred them over speakers that I "know" sound better. There's no accounting for taste.
