Talking My TL speakers with dual Vifa P17 and Heil tweeter

Even if they aren't done yet here are the first shots of the speakers I'm building with a friend.

It is a transmission line with dual Vifa P17-Wj-008 and a AMT tweeter..

Seems that I can't link from my web disk... gotta try setting up a photo hosting..

Cheers

Andrea

Great!

But what wood did you used? It looks like mdf/hdf with already a wood fineer applied?

It is indeed 25 mm MDF with veneer applied on both sides to prevent it from curving the panel, with one "nice" side and a "internal" side.

The front panel (35 mm!)is made with a african wood, don't know the name.

Cheers

Talking Diy Progress report

The cabinets are done, they need finishing but we decided to wait until the wood (front panel and top) stops "moving".
In the meanwhile I'll try to tune them up.

Here is how they look:

PS the carpets are for moving them around
