Default Celestion Alnico Gold 10 speakers for Stereo use?

Did anybody tried using the celestion alnico gold 10 speakers for stereo use as large midrange? As everybody know the alnico has a distinct signature so why cant they be used in a 3 way speaker as mid as its resonance freq is 80Hz?

are these to be used only for guitar applications or it can be used as good stereo midrange also?

It should be fun.
There are various 10"/pro audio used as a midrange in various configurations including horns.

Hi,

Simply put its not worth it for a hifi midrange.
Its an expensive guitar speaker than distorts.

rgds, sreten.

Just by chance? Does the speaker in question feature a squarish Metal box with a cylinder in the middle as the Driver's Magnet motor assembly??
IF so.. then it belongs in yer Grandmas' Radio OR some low grade Guitar amp.
Square metal enclosure on a small diameter Alnico slug is the signature of a Seriously Cheap *** speaker.
Make of that what you choose to :-)
