Default Effect of xover on low frequency

I have found some very old measurements that I took when looking at the affect of a passive low pass sub woofer filter that I found.

The measurements were as follows in dB

1/3rd octave Hz 100 125 160 200 250 320
Full range 70 68 63 59 60 64
With coil+cap 73 73 67 58 52 -
With coil alone 71 69 65 59 56 57

What interests me is that the output is higher with the coil, and higher again with the coil+cap. Is this normal, or does it reflect on my crude measuring.

Hi midrange,

It is normal as long as the impedance is not flattened.
2nd order without and with series RLC in parallel with
the driver.

Thanks. Sorry that the "table" got out of alignment when it appeared in the thread.

Is this effect on the bass increased and decreased depending on the values of the xover components?

Yes, the lower you make your XO point the more it gets pronounced.

Thank you very much Lojzek. Not something I have come across in descriptions of xovers.
