anybody recognize who the "oldest and most respected professional auto sound manufacturers on the West Coast" is? I want to know if is a quality driver or just an SPL maker.

That would be the kove armegeddon z series. A very decent woofer. Loud, decently clean, great all around woofer. The price is great too.

But.........If you are thinking of getting a pair, you might want to look at the RE HC's. They are clearing out the old stock for an amazing $300 per PAIR!
