Double Line Arrays Good or Bad Idea?

I read Jim's White Paper on line arrays and searched the forum.

My question is would something like a double array as pictured below be a good or bad thing.

Since it seemed like an interesting idea to me, I was sure, without any doubt, that it was a bad idea. Thanks for the confirmation.
