multiple mid/woofers placed around a tweeter?

Hi gents,

I'm currently obsessing over these,

The AK-47 (it's a speaker, not a gun)

and to a lesser extent these,

DNA Sequence Speakers dipole open baffle woofer high efficiency point source array midrange tweeter treble loudspeaker

I know legacy has a few models that also use this quad array and one user on the forum has done an open baffle along these lines and I'm looking forward to news on that build too

I was wondering if anyone knew of other similar designs out there?

Any thoughts or comments?

Feedback on late ceiling splash appreciated too.

The patent notes for the DNA are a good read where the focus is that none of the drivers share the same horizontal or vertical axis. I've considered a high power version using the new 4" line array wideband drivers from tymphany.

I knew this was a broad question to ask but I kinda hit a dead end so thought I'd hit you guys up for some new leads.

I had never thought of searching for his patent! Have it now, will give it a read. The drivers not sharing an axis, staring me in the face and I didn't even realise it. Thanks Mayem.
