Hey Freddy: I am using a pair of double cutaway K-Tubes on a set of EV DH1A on top of a pair of Klipsch ten inch woofers (KLF20) as a three driver two way using Klipsch CF3 crossovers. Have been considering going back to either a scaled Karlson or a K-Line of some sort. Best regards Moray James.

one thing I've not tried - - take the pipe, slice it at an angle. Glue on a flat piece then cut the aperture. This by Karlson theory would aid in dumping the energy at the end. There's a Bose patent which kinda shows it.

I'm not a good enough craftsperson to make a cut - I think it would be like below but add the flat plane then cut the aperture

a tube larger than the compression driver's exit will probably be rough. A conical adapter section would help.

I meant to title this thread "who's using the Karlson tube waveguide?" but botched things. Hopefully after 15 years of discussing this waveguide that its being employed.
