Help!! Ok, I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I know these are really OLD woofers, but I'm in search of an original recone kit for this woofer. I have two of these woofers, I had one of them reconed back in 94, it was done with an original CV kit, then a year later the other was reconed I thought with the same kit, so then they sat on the shelf for 10 years in the box. Then recently I wanted to us them, and noticed that they have two different kits in them, and I've checked the T/S parms, and they are very different! Now I want to see if I can find someone that has an original CV kit that will match the first one.
I've been told it is an original kit in the first woofer is a Cerwin Vega kit because it has the two leads going to the voice coil which CV was known to do. It is a very stiff paper, and is deep. The only numbers that I see printed on the back of the cone on this woofer is UKM-51. If anyone can help me, or point me in the direction of some places that might have a matching kit it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Glenn |
