Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the JBL speaker is in a Urei 809, I know is it a 12" Spaeker with the 2416H horn, But the speaker frame says UREI 809a, that all it says. JBL will not email me back. thanks Terry |

It used a Urei 803 (66277-01), which I believe was made by Eminence.

I have a pair of perfect 809's sans blue foam. I would love to replace all of the horn foam... i.e. both the hard horn lining and the softer stuff around the horn flare, but I would be satisfied replacing the open cell foam around the edges of the horns. Are there any sources for this foam? JBL says no. I know that there are enthusiasts out there that do this all of the time. I just need to meet them. Thank you all for all of your help in advance. Regards, Paul Fabre.
