Default AMT polarity question

I have just received a pair of second hand old AMT-1 tweeters. They are in perfect condition an work fine. Just tried them, don't sound as good as my Jordanow ribbon/horn tweeters yet, but that's obvious, they need another filter setup than the Jordanow. So no conclusion yet. I'm working on it.

The first question I have is about the polarity. There is a pink/purple wire and white/beige one. My instinct says that the pink/purple one is the plus but I'm not sure. Does anybody know ?

Does anyone have any experience with building the AMT into a wider baffle ? And yes, what's the effect on the sound ?

Does anybody have some tips for a nice amp schematic to use with the AMT's in an active system ? Preferably SET tube, optimized for high freq usage. I'm using a Hiraga 20 Watt transistor amp now but it sound a bit to harsh with both the Jordanow and the AMT.
