Unhappy problem with PA-system

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my system, normally I use a crossover (2way) but then I have the problem of a tone that comes up and ends with a plop in 1 of the 2 channels, both top and sub speakers give this tone, but when I only use the topspeakers and no crossover it works perfect.

So my question is how do I get rid of this tone, its very irretating.

I've checked the cables.
I'm using the cx3400 crossover from behringer

switches on the back/front are not giving good/clean contact...
ive heard that if one of the scaling switches are dirty/not connecting very well, it gives oscillation in the filtersection......

Is the pop only when u turn it on,or is it constant??

Because remember to avoid pops, clicks and thumps through the speakers, turn on in this order.
Remember D.O.R.A when swtiching on:
1st on Desk/mixer and sources such as Turntables and CD players
2nd Outboard gear[Graphic Eqs,Compressor/Limiters,FX units]
3rd Recording gear [tape machines,minidisc,etc]
4th Amps

Remember A.R.O,D. when switching off:
1st Amps
2nd Recording gear
3rd Outboard gear
4th Desk/mixer

So this method will stop pops, clicks and thumps from going through the speakers--possibly damaging them.

As Live is having a problem with a 'funny' tone coming out the speakers it's more likely to be a switch or filtering problem with the active x over.

I always use the same methodas you say (Bull).

Do you think its the crossover?
Because its brandnew and the cables too so,
And from the first time I used it , I'm having this problem.
could it be the cables that give it bad connection or is it internal?

tnx for your time

internal, one of the range switches.... switch them on and off or half in between, and oscillation will probably occur.... I think there is an update, with resistors placed parallel over the switch or something....
