Default The Q changes??

In the interest of trying to solve my driver selection task, and educating myself with one more piece of the puzzle,

does anyone have a good explanation, or link, why alignment changes so dramatically in a small sealed enclosure with the addition of EQ or an LT? Thanks.

Michael
