Converting ported enclosure to sealed

I have a pair of old woofers that came from a ported cabinet with a volume of 1.1 cu ft and a 3" diameter x 6" long port. The enclosure was filled with insulation

I have little other information on the woofer, but I would like to use it in a smaller sealed box, but am unsure what rules of thumb dictate the sizing.

Best to start with measuring the T-S parameters of your woofers. Once that's done, you can calculate what size the cabinet should be.

If that sounds too difficult (you don't have any way to measure), try about half the size of the ported box.
