so in playing around with 4 of these speakers have added 1/2" felt to all sides that mod alone was worth its weight in gold as the original design had no sound deadening material at all and was somewhat" boomy". In doing the math(.159/.0000012*8)=16,562.5 hz for a crossover freq? I am not sure I can even hear that high of freq!! Why did the engineers cross this speaker at that high a freq?? I would like to use a cap more like 2.2 uf for a cross of about 9000hz. will this driver hold up? or will I smoke it if I drive this speaker at the 120 wrms that it is rated at? not sore how the whole p/f curve works any help from someone smarter than me would be appreciated (shouldn't take much, a smart 2nd grader for instance!!)
