My W18E001 woofers arrived with scratches on the mounting rim that go down to the metal. I thought of daintily using a sharpie to cover them but black sharpie ink relfects with a bit of purple. Nail polish is too shiny.
The finish is I guess semigloss. Not flat but not overly shiny. It's a crinkle finish. <pic> Any advice on how to fix these with minimum hassle? |

Go to Home Depot and get some Krylon or Rustoleum black semi-gloss and a small brush. You may have to buy a couple different cans of paint to get a close enough match. Just make sure you try it on a scrap piece of metal first and let it dry. When you have a close enough match, just brush it over the bad areas. The crinkle finish will help to hide the flaws in this case.
