Nice pictures from diyzone, wit PCB layout of the crossover. Personally, I cannot read a word of Chinese and the translation is even harder to comprehend.
Does anyone knows where I can get this speaker in a kit or is this article telling me such a supplier exists in Taiwan? I am based in Singapore and would appreciate any help from anyone who can tell me where to get the parts needed to make this speaker. I have my own table saw and router and can make the box myself. The plastic port in the diyzone pictures look great. The local agent for ScanSpeak does not reply to mails nor phone calls. Wonder if he is still in business? I will be in the UK next week, in the Midlands. Anyone can suggest suppliers there? Thnaks for any help to be rendered. http://www.diyzone.net/article.php?sid=406 |

As I know that is a one time group purchase kit deal. DIYer has to assemble it together. It is no longer available!

Thnaks for the info guys!
Leda website is down, they do not reply to e-mails, and no one pick up calls. They must be away for a long holiday, not permanently I hope. Another alternative that I saw in the diyzone site was an interesting Bose wave chamber or something likebox that using a Fostex 103. This is a full range speaker with high sensitivity. I might want to build a 300B amp one day and this may better from a sensitivity standpoint. Anyone with info on FE103 performance? I am currently using a EL34 amp with home brew TDA1541A DAC. Thnaks in advance. |

Hi Hacknet,
Thanks for your help. The website is down, and had been for a while. Anyway, I am going away to the UK and Brazil for the next three weeks. Hopefully, the site will be up when I get back. |

hi CM,
Why don't you try mainland China or Hong Kong's suppliers? For clones Proac 2.5, in several websites offer the kit and the cabinet in mainland of China. But the express expense does not know how much. As I know, in diyzon's project, the speaker cabinet is custom-made in mainland of China, the driver order from Denmark. Therefore they may obtain the so low cost. Very the coincidence, I am also using EL34 and TDA1541. but, EL34 is Single Ended Class A, (is imitates union reserch S2) My English is bad, so, if some not clear, please forgive. |
