Default SB15MFC30-8 / Satori TW29R Combo

Hi All!

Thank you for a very useful DIY forum.

I have been reading a lot about crossover filters as well as a lot related to that. The more I read the more I understand how little I know... Sounds this familiar?
I have found formulas, programs and online calculators, but as long as I understand this is only the beginning. The calculation of a crossover filter is really not easy to master, but is fun and time consuming.
Well, I need your opinion in an idea.
I have a pair of Canton Speakers "Karat M 60 DC" and I was thinking to upgrade (downgrade?) these with SB15MFC30-8 / Satori TW29R Combo. These drivers have a good price/performance ratio and should sound good. I am also very curious since they have become very popular.
I was thinking to have a crossover filter about 2200Hz between mid and tweeter and let the SB15MFC30-8 just roll-off, between mid and woofer due to a sealed box of V=5.3 lts.
The woofer is 9 inches and has a crossover filter at 180 Hz. The speaker are rated at 87dB.
So to my questions:

1. Will I do more harm than better sound? The Karat series are actually one of the better Canton speakers.

2. Can someone calculate/propose a crossover that may be a good start? The SB15MFC30-8 could be a little bit tricky.

3. Maybe someone can recommend another combo, maybe a kit? (Safer, but less fun?)

The reason why I want to do this is because I don't have the tools, space and carpenter skills to build my own box so I bought these second-hand Canton very cheap, just with the intention of learning more about building speakers. They where surprising good sounding for so little money (about $200). I have also Yamaha Soavo-1.

I understand also that measurements are one of the key for success. So it will be my next step in this learning process.

Regards from Sweden!
