Eminence LAB 15

[Audio Elite]

Has any one tried the Lab 15 as a bass driver in a 3 way system. I have been reading the JTR threat and I see he is using what looks like the Lab 15 in his new flagship with the BMS 1.4 coaxial compression driver. Everyone says it is the best speaker they have ever heard for Stereo and HT, he uses 2 x lab 15 and looks like they are crossed around 350Hz. In room bass to 18hz. looks very impressive

Looks like it has only been used as a subwoofer. Will have to search further to see how it might be used in a multi way speaker.

The Lab15 is a subwoofer. You will need a mid bass to XO where the Lab15 losses steam, around 125Hz looking at the FR graph. Two way seems out of the question unless you incorporate it into a FAST system.

Yup I know a 2 way will be impossible, but the JTR uses the BMS 4593ND coaxial driver which is a mid and tweet in one unit in a large wave guide. I am sure they are crossing over to the LAB at around 200 or so hz.

Recommended XO is 300 on that unit.
