Question Crossover Questions/Suggestion

I finally build my first set of speakers. It is all house in a .50L enclosure.

The tweater is a Vifa D27TG-05(link) and the woofer is a Dayton 6.5" from PE(link)

Right now I had a Linkwitz Riley 2nd order crossover at 3khz. But the mid sounds kind of lacking. Yes I did reverse the polarity on one of the drivers due to the phase change. On the other hand I tried a first order crossover at around 2200 and it sounded better. Also for the tweeter I have a 2ohm resister in series with it after the XO to make it a 8ohm driver. (Am I doing this correctly?)

What do you guys think? A big thanks in advance

Woops.. sorry.. it is a .50 cu ft. enclosure, so it is around 14.5L. Has a 2inch diameter port and the length of it is 10 inches.

The mid sounds like it is not loud enough. I would say it is more in the male vocal range. Got to do some more critical listening tomorrow.

Sounds like you need some baffle step compensation or the tweeter may need padding down, or both.

I added a Zobel Network to the woofer, it seems to solve the problem. These new speakers does wonder so far to my system.
