Question Speakers that disappear.....

Ok, newbie here with a pretty basic question. What 6.5 inch 2 way driver combinations have you found that result in speakers that do a great disappearing act. I am a soundstage junkie! I am pretty commited to using ScanSpeak tweeters, just beacause they are so damn smooth. Some have suggested that I use a Vifa P17. Any other suggestions? Of course, good bass response and sensitivity would be nice...........

Default DIYs galore

Check the following links for a multitude of speaker DIYs:

The Proac 2.5 clone is a proven DIY, highly recommended.

Well this may not suit you as its not a DIY project and its not a 2-way bookshelf, but if you want a "dissapearing act" and "huge sondstage" than you should definately take a look at Magnepans, the MMG's start at $550.

Jordan JX125 ... it has enuff bandwidth that you might be able to get by with a 1st order XO.

I haven't seen this driver, but its big brother the JX150 is outstanding.

Scanspeak or Focal mids paired up with a Raven ribbon tweet. Take a look at www.zalytron.com 's kits for ideas, they've got some combos to drool over.
