sealed / ported; would damage the woofer ?

what would happen, if i place an low Qts woofer in to a sealed enclosure,
other than loosing some low_end…

would it damage the woofer ?

i am planning to use
ScanSpeak Classic 18W/8542 + 27TFFC in a 10litre sealed box, as near fields
i don't like too much bass, i like more forward sounding, but clean/detail…
i have other monitors to check low end.

just wanted to make sure i won't damage them, due air keep getting pressured from woofer movement….

They'll be fine, you'll just get very early rolloff, like over 100Hz early, which kinda begs the question of why you'd be using a 7" woofer in a dome tweet nearfield 2-way, if not for bass..
