Default Help a newbie

Hi i am new to sound and stuff and i was wondering if there was like any tutorials on what all the stuff is and all. just anything to help me. i want to make a cool system to show off but iam on a tight budget. So anything would be appreciated.

http://www.loudspeakers101.com/Sound.htm is a great site for box recommendation, design, and calculation but I tried using the site and it seems to be down. Thought I’d see if anyone knows if the address changed or moved. Thanks
