Angry Soundeasy and Soundblaster Live 5.1

If you plan on using your soundblaster live 5.1 card with SE 8, the digital filter and equalizer functions are not currently being supported.

The SE folks have said that they will not do further work with the soundblaster card until version 9 (ie they are not fully supporting it now).

If they are not willing to support a card they advertize as supported, then what happens if we follow their advice and get a more expensive card now? Will they drop it later and again ask us to buy a more expensive card?

If you are a SE and Sounblaster user, please post here and on the Soundeasy user list on yahoo and let them know you would like all functions supported now. As purchasers, we should insist our vendor follow their advertized capabilities!
