Separation space for 2 Eton SE1 8" woofers?

Hello, I have a bass speaker cabinet where the front baffle measures
37" tall by 10" wide and the cabinet is 18" deep. 2 Eton SE1 woofers
will be mounted in parallel on the front baffle. Given that the outer
flange of the top woofer will be 1.25" from the top edge of the baffle.
What is the best flange to flange separation distance between the
2 woofers?

The bass cabinets are ported in the rear and are part of a stereo 3-way
system.
