Default Tangband W6-658 2 or 2.5way - what tweeter

I have 4xTang Band W6-658i that i got at bargain price.
I want to either build a floor standing 2 way, or a floor standing 2.5 way. I will keep the volume around 35 liters the same either way so if i go 2.5 way it will not go as deep, but if 2way will probably go deeper. What will sound the best?

http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1208_03/w6-658i.htm

I have no tweeters yet, bu have looked at this vifa
Vifa DX25TG09-04 1" Fabric Dome Tweeter 264-1020

To keep it simple (and cheap) i was thinking to use a 1st order filter and cross over to the tweeter high.

Any suggestions?

Looking at that inductance rise, I doubt a single component will do much for the woofer. I would anticipate a 2nd order filter at least. Maybe you can keep this design "in the family" so to speak, and use this tweeter:

https://www.parts-express.com/pe/sho...number=264-870

It's a pretty low distortion tweeter according to the guys who tested it on techtalk.

The Qts on those woofers is a little on the high side at .45, and likely to be a little higher in real life (and higher still with an inductor). Maybe the right thing to do is a sealed 35L 2.5 way. Do you have a sub?

Hi,

In 35 litres a 2.5 way would be sealed, a 2 way vented.

rgds, sreten.

No i do not have a sub. This will be a build just for fun. My daily speakers is a 2way with seas excel 6.5" and Scan-speak D2905/9500. This build is not meant to replace those.

In that case, I would just build a sealed speaker and use up all the woofers. Should be enough bass for most music.
