I have a .5 cubic ft sealed box I want to put it in to install it in the gf's car, and I want to use this sub. But the recommended box size for a sealed box in a car is only .20 cubic ft. I can port it if need be, but I'm looking for simplicity here, not to mention, I'm concerned about the fact that the tuned fq. for a .20 cubic ft box is 78 hz. Should I just go ahead and port it since .5 is the recommened size for a ported box?

I would port it....obviously a car isn't the most accurate envioirnment, so brute force would probably be appreciated over detail. Adding a port wouldn't be too hard. A power drill, and a hole saw should add it just fine, plus Parts Express has several ports that are like <$2
