Default WE style bass baffles

One idea is to build some Western Electric style bass baffles similar to:

Google Translate

Question is what drivers would work if driven by a Dynaco St70? Is 18" too large, or would 15" be more appropriate?
I hope I am not barking up the wrong baffle.

That's a lot of baffle! Don't think I've ever seen that one, know I have not heard it.
Is there more info?

You can get great open baffle bass with the right drivers, proper crossover and a lesser baffle. 4' 9" wide and 3' 4" tall is big. Although, come to think of it, if I set my speakers on their sides they'd be almost that big.....
Take the Speaker Voltage Test!

Here is a clip:

They are big. Perhaps a 3/4 version would be reasonable.

I think it's meant to be a corner horn...
Impedance varies with frequency, use impedance plots of your drivers and make crossover calculations using the actual impedance of the driver at the crossover frequency
