TIA. JC

JC, thanks for your interest! The binding post I got is just some no-brand gold plated ones. I think as long as they are gold plated, that would be ok.

Looking at that sub Sjef makes me wonder - who said size doesn't matter? Are you shure you couldn't have made the horn 1" longer?

What a project!

First test succeeded, didn't sound that good because it was unfiltered yet. Too much mid coming out but you can expect that without a crossover or other kind of filtering offcoarse. The break-up of a 18" driver is not a nice thing to listen to, but there is defenitly a lot of power coming out at very low frequency's. It goes looooouuuudddd !!! and it is indeed groundshaking. Would do very nice as a home theatre sub I guess if you've got the room for it. You wanted an earthquake, so you will get an earthquake.

The phrase "my new subwoofer" was a joke offcoarse. This thing is even bigger than my living room !!.

The horn is designed and made as part of the decor of a theatreshow. It's purpose is to destroy a wall of glass with a subsonic warbletone at full power at some moment within the show. Nice idea isn't it ? I haven't tested it myself, it's going to Berlin for a theatreshow from a group called "de Dogtroep" They always make shows with a lot off technical jokes in it and this is just one of them, but it's such a nice one I couldn't resist to place some pictures of it here.
