Looking for tower speakers design w/ dual woofers

Hi,

Does anyone know of a design for a tower speaker that uses dual woofers? I have 4pcs of 8" woofers doing nothing, can I use them? Then I'll just buy a pair of tweeters.

Pictures, plans will be very helpful.

Generally speaking, every cabient is designed for the speakers, likewise there isn't a generic cabient that you could use for your woofers. There is plenty of resources and software on designing your own enclosure, however.

tell us the names of the drivers and the TS parameters and we can see if there is a kit out there to suit or maybe somebody here could help you out with it.

MTM describes a driver layout, mid - tweeter - mid, like the two examples in the pics of the above post. Do a search on D'Appolito to learn all the engineering, etc., behind the concept.

Dave (Planet 10) (loudspeaker moderator) has some push/push (bipole) speaker designs on his website.

One woofer faces forward , one back, on each speaker. They both are wired so they move outward at the same time. This compensates for baffle step problems and cancels out most of the vibrations transmitted to the cabinet among other cool stuff.

I think it's a good idea....

I have already seen that before and I am planning to implement dipole on my subs but MTM (see I now know MTM) for my main speakers.
