The ribbon is exposed on most models so very easily damaged by kids
.
Edit:
Bah............looking at the Madisound pictures it appears that they ARE covered by a small mesh screen, so perhaps they are protected somewhat. Anything can be damaged by a child if they are determined enough.

You could protect them further by making a simple screen in front of them, either flat or curved. Perforated metal mesh with hexagonal holes has a very large open area and would be plenty strong enough to protect from damage. Here's an example: Perforated material punched with hexagonal holes
Yeah, the screen material(think a screened in porch) seems to be plastic and could be easily torn through. But, the ribbons ARE affordable and pretty easy to replace if you have a little heat gun to re-tension the ribbon once installed.

Yeah, that place is good. They made my grills for the rear of my baffles. They'll do a roundover on the edges too which can help avoid a sharp corner for little fingers to find.

And for some reason he doesn't want people on mobile devices to be able to view it, which is just odd.
