A friend handed me 2 tweeters. A working NS-1000 teeter and a dead NS-500 tweeter. Hew asked if I could make the NS-500 tweeter work. I have only ever tried this with old celestion tweeters and was unsuccessful. The voice coil is attached to the housing with a type of contact cement by the looks of it. I have tried a couple of solvents on the dead tweeter with no success. Has anyone here had results cutting the adhesive without harming the voice coil?
