Call me a noob, but Im looking at the entire T&S parameters initial and also what other people have done with the designs etc.

I don't expect to get anything respectable below 30 hz.

please have a look at this design by a well respected designer Zaph. It is a 2-way d'Appolito and estimated cost for a pair in 2006 was 175$. It could match your 300£ budget

You can easily swap the tweeter to Dayton RS28's and save 50£!
