AES Open Access Publications
"A growing number of countries require Open Access to publicly-funded research. If an AES paper has been made Open Access it will have the OA logo next to it and will be freely downloadable from the AES E-Library by anyone, even if they're not an AES member or E-Library subscriber. An Open Access paper can also be distributed by the author and by third parties.
After surveying our past AES authors we found that a majority were interested in having the option of publishing their work in Open Access (OA). Authors who choose this option will receive greater visibility and ease of access to their AES publications. A paper opted for OA will be charged a publication fee to be paid by the author or the author's sponsor (employer, funding agency, etc.). AES members and sustaining members will receive a substantial discount. The JAES plans to be both a conventional journal (with copyright agreement signed) and OA, thus an author can choose either of the publishing options."
