My old post but wanted to say thank you to everyone. I replaced the 3 ohm resistors, they were out of value, and I chose 3.7 Mills resistors MRA-12 to replace the 5 ohms.
This worked out quite well, balanced the speaker to be pretty nice. The removal of the plastic in front of this tweeter was a great move. Stock it made it sound poorly with a big peak that drove my wife from the room...
